Optimizing Power Consumption: A Comparative Analysis of Radio Modules used in Embedded Systems
Nowadays, power consumption is a critical topic in electronics due to the dynamic environment and the emphasis on green energy. This paper analyses the potential for reducing power consumption in embedded systems by selecting the appropriate radio module for the application. This method, related to the design phase of a system, is one of the techniques used to achieve power-aware design. In this paper five different radio modules are examined. These modules are commonly used in applications operating at 433 MHz. By comparing the results, we can choose the most suitable radio module based on power consumption, maximum distance, and the type of application.
