Innovations in Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment: The Path Towards Smart Agriculture
In this work, we explore the main problems raised by Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), crucial for the electric vehicle (EV) transition towards sustainable transportation. It explores the operational challenges, opportunities, and the role of EVSE in energy transition and environmental sustainability, addressing the environmental impacts of fossil fuel consumption. The utility of EVSE extends beyond electric vehicle charging, serving as a cornerstone for smart grid integration, demand response, and renewable energy utilization. Highlighting innovative applications in agriculture, the paper discusses how smart EVSE can optimize charging schedules, integrate with renewable energy sources, and facilitate the charging of autonomous farm machinery, enhancing grid stability and reducing operational costs. Moreover, it analyzes current technologies, regulatory frameworks trends and proposes new systems that aim to develop a sustainable transportation infrastructure, revolutionize agricultural operations and reduce the agricultural sector’s carbon footprint.
