Linearity Evaluation and Influence of the Reference Voltage for ADC Converter of Embedded Devices

The aim of this study is to investigate the problems related to an existing ADC converter. The study contains measurements, experiments and comparison between two same modules for which we try to highlight the problems of that converter. The analog-to-digital converter used in the present application is integrated in the ESP32 board. The first problem would be related to the low linearity compared to other dedicated ADCs. For this was used a signal generator and a table values generator with which was generated a linear voltage and data analysis software for statistical results. Another problem is related to the reference voltage for which we observe differences between board to another boards. The conclusions of this study provide us with valuable information about the use of a converter, giving us solutions for optimizing the acquisition of an analogic signal.
