Automated Greenhouse

This paper proposes the development of an automated greenhouse system along with a method for controlling and monitoring essential parameters. The system consists of an ATmega64A microcontroller embedded on a PCB (Printed Circuit Board), five sensors, two control components, and a Wi-Fi module. To ensure the protection of sensitive components, galvanic isolation was implemented, separating external connections from those on the 4-layer PCB. Communication between the ATmega64A and ThingsBoard, an open-source Internet of Things platform, is facilitated by the Wi-Fi module using the MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol. A Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy inference system is employed to calculate water flow based on air temperature and soil humidity. While this solution is similar to existing market options, it offers a cost-effective, user-friendly control system and data logging that is accessible from anywhere at any time.
