Sivil İtaatsizlik Perspektifinden Mısır’da Müslüman Kardeşler Pratiği

This study examines the actions, ideological framework, and alignment of the Muslim Brotherhood within the theoretical context of civil disobedience. Founded in Egypt in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood is recognized as one of the earliest and most influential Islamist organizations, significantly shaped by the ideas of Hasan al-Banna and Sayyid Qutb. The concept of civil disobedience is discussed through a theoretical lens, followed by an evaluation of the organization’s historical activities within this framework. The analysis reveals that while the Muslim Brotherhood predominantly positions itself as a political Islamist entity advocating social transformation through nonviolent means, it has at times engaged in violent activities. This duality suggests that the organization cannot be classified as strictly civil disobedient but instead demonstrates a hybrid nature. Employing qualitative research methods and historical descriptive analysis, the study provides an in-depth exploration of the organization’s historical trajectory, ideological divisions, and complex relationship with violence. Keywords: Civil Disobedience, Muslim Brotherhood, Nonviolent Resistance, Hasan al-Banna, Sayyid Qutb.
