Impact of Childcare Center Facilities on Working Mothers’ Performance at Office: A Study on Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, it is a frequent occurrence for working women to harbor increased concerns regarding the safety and well-being of their offspring following childbirth. The principal aim of this study was to examine the influence of childcare facilities on the labor productivity of women employed in Dhaka. Employing a quantitative research methodology, this investigation utilized statistical techniques including frequency distribution, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and the chi-square test. The chi-square test (p<0.05) revealed a significant association between childcare center facilities and enhanced job performance among working mothers. The findings suggest that the majority of participants acknowledge that reliable childcare facilities positively affect their work-life balance. These outcomes offer crucial insights for policymakers, urging a greater focus on the establishment of dependable childcare facilities in Dhaka to bolster the participation of working mothers in the labor market. While substantial research has been conducted on women's empowerment and labor market representation, this study is pioneering in its examination of the specific impact of childcare facilities on the professional performance of working mothers.
