Promoção da saúde mental nos idosos: protocolo de revisão scoping

Mental health plays a crucial role in healthy ageing and quality of life for older people. With the increase in average life expectancy, greater investment is needed in promoting the mental health of older people. This protocol aims to plan a review that can map the evidence on interventions/programmes to promote the mental health of older people, identifying specificities and results. This review protocol follows the recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute and PRISMA-ScR. The search will be carried out in MEDLINE (PubMed), CINAHL (EBSCO), Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection. Published and unpublished studies written in English, Portuguese or Spanish will be included. This protocol represents the first step towards a structured review to guarantee the quality and systematisation of the future review and the quality of its results.
