Spin-independent interactions of Dirac fermionic dark matter in the composite Higgs models
According to recent measurements, the dark matter magnetic dipole moment is strongly constrained. In the composite Higgs models the magnetic dipole moment of the Dirac dark matter fermion and its mass can be suppressed by the approximate <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:mi>U</a:mi><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mn>1</a:mn><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo></a:math> symmetry. We consider the <e:math xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><e:msub><e:mi>E</e:mi><e:mn>6</e:mn></e:msub></e:math> inspired composite Higgs model (<g:math xmlns:g="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><g:mrow><g:mrow><g:msub><g:mrow><g:mi mathvariant="normal">E</g:mi></g:mrow><g:mrow><g:mn>6</g:mn></g:mrow></g:msub></g:mrow><g:mi>CHM</g:mi></g:mrow></g:math>) with <j:math xmlns:j="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><j:mi>U</j:mi><j:mo stretchy="false">(</j:mo><j:mn>1</j:mn><j:mo stretchy="false">)</j:mo></j:math> symmetry violating operators, which give rise to dark matter’s mass and coupling constant to Higgs boson. The dependence of the spin-independent dark matter-nucleon scattering cross section on the <n:math xmlns:n="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><n:mrow><n:mrow><n:msub><n:mrow><n:mi mathvariant="normal">E</n:mi></n:mrow><n:mrow><n:mn>6</n:mn></n:mrow></n:msub></n:mrow><n:mi>CHM</n:mi></n:mrow></n:math> parameters is explored. We argue that there are regions of the parameter space which are still safe from all current constraints and may lead to spectacular LHC signatures. Published by the American Physical Society 2024
