Visualization Analysis for the Service Functions and Ecological Benefits of Urban Green Space System Based on CiteSpace

In this study, to achieve a more profound understanding of the existing conditions and prospective developments concerning the advantages of eco-service and environment offered by green spaces in urban area, a visualization analysis was performed using Citespace 6.3.1 software. This analysis encompassed 1259 documents spanning the past three decades, which were selected from the database of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), all pertaining to the service functions and eco-benefits of green space system in urban area. The results indicated: (1) The volume of publications in this field could be divided into three phases: the duration of steady growth, the duration of rapid growth and the slight decline duration, with annual publications being 25, 146 and 107, respectively, showing an overall upward trend. (2) Beijing Forestry University has a certain leading level in the research of the field. Over the last three decades, there have been a cumulative total of 62 articles related to the subject in question. However, it appears that there has been a lack of collaborative efforts among different research entities in the production of these scholarly works. (3) From the frequency analysis of keywords, in this research field, the service functions of green spaces in urban area, the accessibility and eco-benefits are the current hot topics.
