Digital transformation, intellectual property ability and high-quality development of firms
The relationships between digital transformation(DT), intellectual property ability(IPA), environmental uncertainty (EU), and high-quality development(HqD) of firms are discussed based on the resource-based view and capability view. SPSS and AMOS software were used for data analysis after questionnaire survey, the empirical results show that: (1) DT has a significant promoting effect on IPA. (2) Both DT and IPA can promote the HqD of firms. (3) IPA plays a mediating role between DT and HqD. (4) DT can better promote HqD When the EU is high, but the promotion effect of IPA on HqD is weakened. The study reveals the mechanism between DT and HqD, further deepening and expanding the resource-based view and capability theory. Empirical research based on micro firm level also refines the theoretical research in the field of HqD of manufacturing industry. The research also suggests that firms should use digital technology and tools in practice more effectively, and increase their intellectual property ability through dynamic and continuous learning, thus escorting firm's high-quality development.
