Effect of Resistance Band and Barbell Exercises on Bicep Muscles Strength
Background and Purpose: The biceps muscle can be seen on the front side of the upper arm. The short and long heads of the muscle function in concert. Tendon that connects the biceps to the arm bones is called a biceps. As a precaution, the experiment was carried out. Resistant Bands Attached to the Barbell Exercise has an immediate effect on developing larger biceps. Materials & Methods: There are 30 healthy participants in each of two study groups. For Group-A (n=15), we used a resistance band to build muscle, and for Group-B (n=15), we used a barbell rod to build muscle. Maximum bicep strength was assessed using Chattanooga dynamometer. Muscle mass was measure using a tape. Total duration of study was 12 weeks Results: According to the results the Dynamometer Strength test shows the Pre score of Group A 42.82±1.939 and the post score is 43.51±1.786. The scores of Group B were 43.23±1.23 and the post score was 45.77±1.03. P value for both the groups are P<0.05 which shows that there were effects in both the Groups but higher effects can be seen the Group B as the post results of Group B is higher that Group A 43.51±1.786<45.77±1.03. The size of the muscle has also increased as the pre score was 12.35±1.768 and post score has changed to 13.34±1.982 for Group A and For Group B the score ispre-12.46±1.789 and post 12.98±1.890. Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, we are able to draw the conclusion that both interventions had a substantial impact; however, Barbell Exercises has more effects as compare with resistant band exercise. The muscle size increased more in the Barbell Exercises as we can say that Barbell Exercises is more effective technique for Bicep Muscles Strength.
