Children’s Art Festivals in Ukraine as a Reflection of the Non-classical Paradigm of Childhood Culture

The article is devoted to the problem of children’s festivals as cultural and artistic practices in the projection of a non-classical paradigm of childhood culture. The concept of “the culture of childhood” allows the researcher to interpret multiple aspects of children’s themes in culture, turning the child into a subject of culture creation, giving value to children’s creative activity. The value aspect of the “world of the child” produces parity relations with the “world of adults,” which corresponds to a non-classical approach to the conceptualization of phenomena and processes in cultural studies. The author explores the role of the child as a subject of culture creation in the non-classical paradigm of childhood culture and highlights the change of the classical approach, where the child is considered only as a recipient of culture, to a new model, where the child becomes an active creator, capable of changing and adapting cultural values. This approach allows scholars to consider the child as an equal partner in the cultural process, which is important for rethinking the relationship between children and adults. The article considers the axiological aspect of children’s festivals, where these events act as platforms for intercultural interaction and exchange. They create conditions for discovering the creative potential of children and promote Ukrainian culture, in particular through ethnic festivals. By participating in international festivals, children gain experience and have the opportunity to develop their creative capabilities, which affects the overall understanding of cultural dialogue and interaction. Children’s festivals are becoming important elements of cultural communication, helping to create new forms of creativity and popularize cultural values internationally. They open up space for experimentation and dynamic development, which contributes to the design of new creative strategies.
