Abstract

Ukraine is going through the stages of overcoming the historical challenge, correcting the errors of the pan-European scenario of development, which is still spread by the postmodern collective consciousness as patterns of contemporary public art and the latest technocratic theories, including synaesthetic, which tries to prove the irrelevance (in the current age of technocentric posthumanism) of the ideas of transcendental aesthetics and empathic art expression. However, those Western and Ukrainian scholars who are not involved in the culture-industrial art business and who understand the importance of the continuity of a nation’s integral cultural memory and resist the robotization of the culture of feelings with techno-aesthetic theories. The article offers a perspective on updating the essential priorities of social theories with the potential that can be found in Ukrainian culture, which, especially in the context of art criticism, is of primary importance.
