INTELLECTUAL RESOURCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS:STATUS AND DEVELOPMENT FACTORS

The article defines the role of intellectual potential in the national economy in a post-industrial society. The functioning of the higher education system, scientific and innovative activities as the most important factors in the formation and development of intellectual resources is analyzed in the Republic of Belarus. Ways of organizing and stimulating research activities and technical creativity of gifted children and talented youth are considered. Trends in the market of intellectual property in Belarus have been identified. Based on the research, taking into account the “Belarus Intellectual” model developed at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, measures were proposed to improve the human resources potential of the intellectual economy of the Republic of Belarus.
