HASAD PERSPEKTIF AL-QURTUBI DAN IBNU KATSIR

Hasad is a feeling of displeasure towards someone who receives blessings from Allah. Therefore, hasad is a dangerous heart disease and must be avoided. The purpose of this study is to explain the similarities and differences of hasad according to Al-Qurtubi and Ibn Kathir. This study uses a qualitative method with primary data sources such as Tafsi>r al-Qur’a>n al-Azhi>m and Tafsi>r Al-Ja>mi’ Li> Ahka>m. While secondary data sources are in the form of books, journals, and theses related to hasad. The data collection technique used is the library research method. Furthermore, the data analysis used is the content analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that Al-Qurtubi in his interpretation methodology uses the source bi Al-Iqtiran, using the tahlili method with a bil ma'tsur pattern. Because most of the explanations made by Al-Qurtubi in interpreting the Qur'an are done by quoting from various narrations, both from friends and tabi'in. Meanwhile, Ibnu Katsir uses the ijmali method and the bi al-ra'yi style. The explanations made by Ibn Kathir in interpreting the Koran were not by quoting from various narrations; he only adhered to his own understanding; his conclusions were based on logic alone.
