Rancangan Sistem Pendingin Ruangan Menggunakan Termoelektrik

The size of current cooling machines, especially air conditioners, is still too large and heavy. Therefore, an air conditioning machine with thermoelectric technology was found that made it easier to operate the machine. Thermoelectric cooling systems tend to be less efficient than air conditioning systems that use compressors. This is because the power consumed by the thermoelectric system is relatively small and the heat transfer generated by the modules is also limited, so the thermoelectric cooling system is only suitable for use in small rooms. This research aims to design a portable and environmentally friendly refrigeration device using thermoelectric and determine the changes in room temperature that occur to thermoelectric. The method used is the experimental method. The test results of the thermoelectric-based cooler box are only the corners in front of the cooler box that undergo temperature changes (angles 1,2,3,6,7), while the corners behind the cooler box do not experience temperature changes (angles 4,5,8). At corners 2 and 6 it reaches an optimal temperature of 29°C, an outdoor temperature of 34°C at 12:30 and an average indoor starting temperature of 30°C. Air conditioning systems using thermoelectric are less effective because they do not reach the ideal temperature to cool the room, which is 25°C.
