TRES DÉCADAS DE EDUCACIÓN FINANCIERA: PROGRESO, RETOS PENDIENTES Y UN APORTE FILOSÓFICO
Abstract The main objective of this research was to analyze the evolution of financial education over almost two decades, through the works of Hernández et al., Denegrí et al. and Barsallo and Carlos. The different perspectives presented by these authors were examined in order to make a contribution from a philosophical approach. According to them, during the last 19 years the importance of financial education in promoting economic wellbeing, strengthening autonomy and guaranteeing financial security for future generations has been recognized. However, despite the proposals, studies and debates carried out, there are still many educational systems that have not fully incorporated financial education into their curricula. In the aforementioned context, the authors argue that educational reform should include finance as a practical skill and an essential component to foster students' moral and rational development. The purpose of this is to enable them to make informed, responsible and ethical decisions in an increasingly complex environment.
