Analysis of the Temperature Characteristics of Ceiling Jets in Large Corridor Spaces
In this study, the temperature characteristics of a ceiling jet flowing through a ceiling in the event of a fire in a large corridor space were experimentally analyzed to show consistency with the equation shown through the energy conservation equations. The experimental results show that the horizontal temperature distribution of the ceiling jet decreases sharply until the dimensionless distance (r/z) is 0.2, and the vertical temperature distribution increases from a dimensionless height z/H of 0.5. In addition, the consistency between the energy-conservation-law-based prediction formula and experimental values was observed to be good when the heat release rate, ceiling height, and dimensionless distance were used as variables.
