A Study on the Neodymium Doped Yttrium Orthovanadate Laser
Abstract: When neodymium ions are added to yttrium orthovanadate, a solid substance known as neodymium-doped yttrium orthovanadate (Nd:YVO4) is created. Neodymium ions, which can be stimulated by visible or infrared light with a wavelength of 1064 nm, are the primary cause of Nd:YVO4's lasing characteristic, as is the case with all neodymium-doped laser crystals. Other noteworthy emission wavelengths are 1342 nm and 914 nm.
