Dos desafíos de la iglesia latinoamericana ante el crecimiento del pentecostalismo
Pentecostalism is the form of Christinity that is currently growing in the world the most. This growth is significant in Latin America, where its rise, means, in many cases, loss of the faithful on the part of the Catholic Church. This reality poses two challenges to the Chruch in that said region: first, of a pastoral nature, to face the exodus of its members. For this, firest, it is necessary to look inward and investigate what are the ecclesial deficiencies for which this phenomenon occurs. Second, of an ecumenical nature, consists in looking for an promoting ways of the dialogue with the Pentecostals, a group which was recently ignored. The task of dialogue faces many dificulties, and requires to be assumed with courage and determination. At the magisterial level, the commitment is clear and irreversible, but what happens in daily ecclesiastical life in Latin America? Is there progress and true approachement between Catholics and Protestant?
