The use of immersive and artistic practices in creating a multi-sensory space in a boutique hotel

The purpose of the study is to reveal the features of boutique hotels not only as a means of accommodating tourists, but also as a "creative immersive urban space". The article suggests considering a boutique hotel without limiting its functionality only to its direct purpose as a place to sleep and relax. Special attention is paid to the fact that the boutique hotel is a generator of consumer impressions, a "place of dialogue", a "space of immersion", and its concept is based on the idea of managing consumer sensory impressions. The development of this format in the hotel services market is well within the framework of the "economy of impressions". The scientific novelty lies in an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the research topic and the refinement of the categorical and conceptual apparatus. The authors consider the boutique hotel as an "immersive manipulation space" and draw attention to the importance of the role of design approaches and "creative gaming practices" in shaping the sensory sensations of boutique hotel guests, considering an interactive atmosphere as a way to increase the competitiveness of the hotel. As a result of the research, the authors come to understand that a boutique hotel is a "sensory hotel" in its concept, identify its features, propose their typology, and reveal approaches to the formation of the concept of such a hotel.
