Tracking of Close Contacts of Highly Pathogenic Infectious Diseases Based on Blockchain and Mobile Signaling Data

Early identification and isolation of confirmed patients and close contacts is one of the most effective methods to defeat highly pathogenic infectious diseases. However, existing close contact tracing methods have coarse spatio-temporal coverage and are difficult to accurately track. To address this issue, a novel close contact tracing method based on mobile signaling data is proposed, combined with Blockchain (BC) and interplanetary file system (IPFS) to achieve secure data sharing and distributed queries for close contacts. Experimental results on simulation data show that compared with existing epidemiological manual and semi-manual investigation methods, this method can provide more complete and comprehensive spatio-temporal coverage under the premise of ensuring data privacy and security, improve the accuracy of epidemiological investigation, and provide strong support for epidemic prevention and control.
