Evaluation of crushing force for compression molded product with low hardness

Compression-molded products are obtained from solidifying powders, and are used in fields such as pharmaceuticals, food, and industrial products. Uniformly evaluating the hardness of a product is difficult because of the existence of a wide range of compression molded products. In this study, we focus on the low hardness of products mainly used for food. We will examine both the tensile strength and compression force of this product and provide knowledge about appropriate hardness-testing methods.
