Perancangan Alternatif Alat Panen Buah Kelapa Muda Anti Pecah dan Tanpa Panjat
The risk of fatigue and accidents is prone to occur in the process of harvesting coconuts by climbing due to the height of coconut trees. Coconuts that fall directly without any fishing gear or bedding will immediately collide with the ground, potentially causing damage in the form of bruises and ruptures to the decline in the quality of young coconuts. The purpose of this activity is to design and test anti-shattering and non-climbing young coconut harvesting equipment based on telescopic sticks and portable trolley systems. Telescopic sticks are used as a system to adjust the height of telescopic sticks to the height of coconut trees equipped with elbow clamps, telescopic sticks, and electric saws. Electric saws are used as a tool to cut young coconut bunches using a 1CH remote wireless relay switch. Portable trolley is used as a reservoir and impact absorber for falling young coconuts that can be adjusted in height. This tool is designed to transport more than 100 kg of young coconuts or the equivalent of 10-15 bunches of young coconuts. In addition, this tool is also used to facilitate mobilization to the Results Collection Point (TPH). The test results show that this tool performs well with a working capacity of 810 kg/h, 2.7 times greater than the manual capacity with low work risk. In connection with that, it was found that the basic cost of this tool was Rp103,589/ton while conventionally it was Rp276,473/ton. Keywords: No Climbing, Portable Trolley, Shatterproof, Telescopic Sticks, Young Coconut.
