Monitoring of subclinical endomeritis in cows

The article presents the results of research on the spread of various forms of endometritis in cows. Subclinical endometritis was most often recorded in cows of various farms. This form of endometritis was found in 35.0% of cows in JSC "PZ Meliorator", 33.93% in UNPO "Mummovskoye" and 26.35% in LLC "Stepnoye" of the Saratov region. Endometritis was noticeably more common in red-mottled cows. Clinical and laboratory studies have shown a clearly pronounced seasonal pattern of subclinical endometritis in cows. If in January – February this form of endometritis was registered in 15.91 – 24.56% of females, then in March - May it was 1.21-2.00 times more often. At a later date (September-December), a significant decrease in the number of cases of endometritis was observed - from 9.09 to 12.28%. Regardless of the breed, endometritis most often occurred at the age of 3-4 years (34.09 – 42.11%). At an older age (5-6 years), there is a decrease in cases of endometritis by 10.71; 7.02 and 9.09%, respectively. As the age of the animals increases further, there is an increase in the number of cases of subclinical endometritis in cows of all breeds.
