Premix P 90-2 effects to the enzyme expression of amino acid transport, pentose phosphate pathway, cytogenetic parameters in rabbits of the Rodnik cross
We examined the effect of the vitamin-mineral premix P 90-2 on the live weight of rabbits of the Rodnik cross, genomic instability (based on the micronucleus test results), the expression of the amino acid transporter (SLC15A1), and the key enzyme of the pentose phosphate pathway G6PD during the fattening period at 45, 60, 77, and 90 days old. We found no differences in live weight between the groups of rabbits with or without premix in the diet. The frequency of erythrocytes with micronuclei tended to increase, and the expression of genes G6PD and SLC15A1 decreased in rabbits of the Rodnik cross receiving premix at 90 days old. Increased values of the coefficients of variation for the studied characteristics were observed in rabbits of the Rodnik cross that received premix. There is no significant correlation between the expression of SLC15A1 and G6PD and live weight in rabbits. These findings will support the development of scientifically based approaches for improving the composition of complete granulated mixed fodder.
