Design and Implementation of Fatigue Driving Detection System Based on OpenCV

With the country's emphasis on new quality productivity, automobiles have become an important and indispensable part of people's daily lives. However, driver's fatigue driving has become one of the important factors affecting traffic safety. Based on this, this paper designs and implements a fatigue driving detection system based on OpenCV, which realizes real-time monitoring and early warning of driver fatigue status through the close combination of hardware and software. In terms of hardware, this system uses Raspberry Pi 4B with PCA9685 control servo to realize the accurate tracking of the driver's face. In terms of software, OpenCV and dlib libraries are used to detect the feature points on the driver's face, and by analyzing the driver's eye state, yawning frequency and head posture changes, it determines whether the driver is in the state of fatigue driving, and realizes the real-time transmission of data and the sending of warning signals through socket communication. After several experimental tests, the results show that the algorithm of this design has excellent performance, and the comprehensive design has good application prospects, providing an effective solution for fatigue driving monitoring.
