A Group Tourism Recommendation Method Based on User Preference and Attraction Popularity

Considering the fairness of group satisfaction in the process of travel route recommendation, A group tourism recommendation methods based on user preference and attraction popularity is proposed, called as GTRM. First, we obtain the photo data containing spatial and temporal information on social network sites. Second, we analyze the user preferences and the popularity of attractions in different seasons to form a scoring basis. Based on this, the weights of the users are adjusted. Finally, in order to obtain higher score tour routes, we aggregate the user preference according to the weights to form the group preferences to select attractions. The experimental result shows that the proposed method can not only improve the group satisfaction with the tourism routes, but also reduces the difference of satisfaction among group members, that is, the recommendation results are fair relatively.
