Optimization for Application-Layer Interrupt Response Real-Time Performance in Onboard Computers based on multi-core processor

The increasing complexity of satellite tasks and functions imposes higher demands on the generalization and modularization of onboard computer software design. While the introduction of the Linux operating system addresses these needs, it also brings real-time performance issues. This paper proposes and implements three real-time optimization solutions based on multi-core processors. By testing and comparing these solutions in terms of transmission delay, interrupt response count, and interrupt response delay in data transmission applications, this paper concludes that the SYS/BIOS scheme is the preferred option for future onboard computers developed on Linux.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of satellite tasks and functions imposes higher demands on the generalization and modularization of onboard computer software design. While the introduction of the Linux operating system addresses these needs, it also brings real-time performance issues. This paper proposes and implements three real-time optimization solutions based on multi-core processors. By testing and comparing these solutions in terms of transmission delay, interrupt response count, and interrupt response delay in data transmission applications, this paper concludes that the SYS/BIOS scheme is the preferred option for future onboard computers developed on Linux.
