Periconceptional Support with Micronutrients: a New Paradigm of a Personalized Approach
The current unfavorable demographic situation in the Russian Federation dictates the need to find reserves to improve perinatal outcomes and increase fertility. Due to the fact that the birth of a healthy child is largely determined by the lifestyle of the expectant mother, primarily the nature of nutrition, the most important components of counseling at the pre-pregnancy stage are the assessment and optimization of a woman's diet with subsequent adjustment of the micronutrient status. The review provides a scientific justification for the safety and effectiveness of the use of various vitamins, minerals and trace elements in the periconceptional period, taking into account the personal needs of a woman.
