Transition to Modern Traffic Control Systems at Railway Stations

The article deals with the types and principle of operation of various types of signaling, centralization and interlocking devices at railway stations and crossings. Emphasis is placed on the promising development in this field. Further active introduction of microprocessor-based traffic control systems both on mainline railway and industrial railway transportation is suggested.
