An Error Amplifier With Enhanced Slew Rate and Clamp Function Supporting Multi-Mode Control of Four-Switch-Buck-Boost Converter
This paper proposes a MOSFET-only error amplifier(EA) with clamp function, which reduces the power consumption to $71.7 \mu \mathrm{~A}$. Moreover, the circuit realizes the function of dynamic slewing rate enhancement, which can improve the performance of transient response. The static power consumption of the dynamic slewing rate enhancement module is only $4.7 \mu \mathrm{~A}$, and the slew rate ($\mathrm{SR}+\mid \mathrm{SR}-$) is $47.6 \mathrm{~V} / \boldsymbol{\mu s} \mid \mathbf{5 0. 2} \mathrm{V} / \boldsymbol{\mu s}$ when driving a $200-\mathrm{pF}$ load. The proposed error amplifier is designed with a 0.18 $\mu \mathrm{m}$ BCD process, demonstrating the capability to support the Four-Switch-Buck-Boost DC-DC power management circuit operating with multi-mode control.
