Multiparametric Optimization of the Design Process of a Space Survey Radar Station Based on an Ontological Analysis of the Dependencies of Functional Characteristics on a Variety of Technical Solutions

A technique is presented to reduce the risk of suboptimal choice of a technical solution when creating a space monitoring radar station based on a generalized formalization of the design process followed by a multiparametric optimization of the characteristics of the radar station based on an ontological analysis of the design process. It is shown that optimization of the characteristics of a space monitoring radar station during design makes it possible to form an optimal list of technical solutions from a variety of different solutions with different values of unification coefficients while maximizing functional characteristics and minimizing costs. The proposed optimization of characteristics is based on an integrated approach to choosing the best technical solution based on reducing the risk of non-optimal choice of a technical solution, taking into account cost, production time and unification coefficient. A three-dimensional matrix of functional characteristics values is compiled during design, taking into account the set values of cost and production time for each technical solution with its own unification coefficient. Using this matrix allows you to choose the optimal technical solution of the radar, taking into account the coefficient of unification and the quality of the element base - such a matrix is compiled for each technical solution. The main advantage of the proposed optimization is the ability to evaluate an unlimited number of radar layout options and assess the risks of a suboptimal choice for each technical solution.
