Development AND Manufacturing of the Electrical Circuit of the Soft-start System of the Electron-Converting Device

Electron-converting devices are directly related to the use of output transformers, which perform many important tasks. When the transformer is connected to the mains, the currents in the primary winding can be several times the operating currents of the transformer under load. In this paper, the problem of high inrush currents in transformers is discussed and ways to reduce such currents are discussed. A method of reducing inrush currents by introducing a transformer soft-start board is proposed. The method consists in temporary connection of the transformer through a current limiting resistor. The time-delaying circuit of the transformer soft-start board has been calculated, and tests of the board have been carried out, showing that the inrush currents of the transformer have become safe for the IGBT transistors used in the electronic converting device
