A Low Cost Multisensor System for Stress Changes Detector
Nowadays, more and more people experience uncertain emotional conditions commonly defined as stress. This condition is manifested through the body’s physical responses, such as elevated heart rate and changes in body temperature. High stress can negatively impact health, necessitating a tool to detect and classify stress levels for immediate awareness. This work presents LAZARUS: Low-Cost System for Detecting Stress Changes with Multisensors, a tool designed to measure stress by monitoring heart rate and body temperature. LAZARUS utilizes Wemos D1 Mini ESP8266 microcontroller, PAH8001EI-2G sensor for heart rate detection, the DS18B20 sensor for body temperature measurement and Tsukamoto method Fuzzy logic for data processing. Experimental results show that LAZARUS accurately classifies stress levels on the Blynk platform, with an average error of 2.19% for heart rate and 4.13% for body temperature. The system has an 86.00% accuracy rate when comparing stress values using a questionnaire filled out by subjects. This highlights its effectiveness in sensor readings and promising future improvement.
