Passive Filter-compensating Device Parameters Identification Based on the Electric Power Quality Measurements Results

The paper proposes a method for selecting the parameters of a passive filter-compensating device (FCD), representing a set of resonant LC circuits connected in parallel. Identification of the power quality control system parameters is based on the application of the measurements results for the power quality indicators (PQI) at the power supply point (PSP) as well as the influence of the PQI on the frequency characteristics (FC) of the consumer resistance. The developed method is applicable for cases when the contribution of the power supply system to the deterioration of the PQI at the PSP is negligible or absent.

Abstract

The paper proposes a method for selecting the parameters of a passive filter-compensating device (FCD), representing a set of resonant LC circuits connected in parallel. Identification of the power quality control system parameters is based on the application of the measurements results for the power quality indicators (PQI) at the power supply point (PSP) as well as the influence of the PQI on the frequency characteristics (FC) of the consumer resistance. The developed method is applicable for cases when the contribution of the power supply system to the deterioration of the PQI at the PSP is negligible or absent.
