Improved Method for GPS Satellite Clock Error Estimation and its Application
GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is widely used in Positioning, Navigation, Timing (PNT), the Internet of Things (IOT), and communication base station optimization due to its high accuracy and low hardware costs. The timeliness and accuracy of precise satellite clock errors products are crucial for PPP service performance. Current real-time clock errors estimation methods often suffer from long computation times and complex processes, leading to delays and reduced performance during communication interruptions. This paper proposes a rapid satellite clock error estimation method using a linear model, which replaces the discrete estimation sequences of existing real-time service and eliminates the fitting process for real-time corrections. The estimated satellite clock errors are utilized to conduct the kinematic and static PPP. Experimental results show that this method improves the efficiency of real-time clock errors estimation while ensuring reliable positioning accuracy. Even during communication interruptions of several minutes, it achieves centimeter-level accuracy in the horizontal direction and decimeter-level accuracy in the vertical direction, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
