Simulation of 5G interference to substation secondary equipment

The intelligent communication network within substations predominantly utilizes wired communication. However, in recent years, the adoption of wireless communication has increased. Nonetheless, due to the intricate structure of electrical equipment in intelligent substation environments and the interactions between high-voltage and secondary equipment, various magnetic fields are generated during operation, which presents certain challenges for wireless communication networks. Prior to implementation, it is imperative to analyze radio noise and employ effective strategies to mitigate interference from noise components. Consequently, the deployment of wireless communication networks has emerged as a focal point in substation scenario research. This paper analyzes and deduces the electric field intensity produced by 5G base stations and terminals within substations, investigates the potential interference of 5G on secondary equipment at these facilities, and offers guidance for 5G deployment. This research holds significant implications for the intelligent construction and operation of substations.
