Research on Delay Compensation Algorithm for Model Predictive Current Control of Three-Phase Photovoltaic Grid-Connected Inverter
In predictive control, the Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control (FCS-MPC) approach relies heavily on system modeling. Its optimised performance, high precision, and structural simplicity are some of its boasts. Some loss of control performance is unavoidable when dealing with model uncertainties. A classic example of a model uncertainty, time delay has a major bearing on the reliability of predictions and the steadiness of the system as a whole. In order to significantly improve control accuracy, this paper applies a composite FCS-MPC method to grid-connected systems that is based on the fractional-order Smith predictor. Also, a phase-lead design is suggested to account for the Smith predictor's inherent time delay. The effectiveness of the studied method is showcased by simulation results under various conditions.
