Single Parity Check Network Coding Based on Iterative Spatial Demapper
This paper proposes a network coding scheme based on single parity check (SPC-NC) with structure exploiting iterative spatial demapper (ISM) to reduce time-slots in relay-assisted multi-source to single-destination wireless communications. This paper uses ISM at the destination to separate the merged information from two users, a challenging task akin to solving equations with two variables. Repetition codes and relays are used for error protection and signal quality improvement, to achieve order-2 diversity. A series of computer simulations confirm that SPC-NC can effectively combine two users into a single time-slot using ISM, reducing overall time-slots. The results shows that SPC-NC with amplify-and-forward (AF) relays supports simultaneous transmission of two users, offering good performance by resembling SPC codes and providing additional gain. The findings aim to advance future network coding development.
