Simulation and analysis on dual-plane linear array electromagnetic tomography
This paper aims to propose a heterogeneous electromagnetic tomography (EMT), termed a dual-plane linear array EMT. The feasibility of the dual-plane linear array EMT is simulated in a FEM software. The forward problem of the heterogeneous EMT is then analyzed in the simulation. Furthermore, this paper evaluates the tomography performance of the sensitivity map by the field vector extractor method. It is found that the performance with the magnetic permeability sensitivity map is superior to that of the electrical conductivity sensitivity map. Accordingly, it is indicated that measuring the boundary magnetic field is better than measuring the boundary voltage for the dual-plane linear array EMT.
