Enhanced heat transport analysis in non-Newtonian chemically reactive hybrid nanofluid flow over a cylindrical geometry subjected to Thompson and Troian slip consequences
Heat transport efficiency in a fluid flow over cylindrical geometry is crucial for optimizing and understanding thermal processes in various fields, ranging from industrial and engineering to environmental science. The current analysis delves into the enhanced thermal transport mechanism in a flow of hybrid nanofluids over a cylindrical surface. This study reveals the exploration related to the novel thermal transport behaviour of hybrid Carreau nanofluid with quadratic convection and homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions under Thompson and Troian slip conditions. The partial differential equations (PDEs) of momentum, energy and species concentration are formulated with help of physical assumptions. Further, these PDEs are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using an appropriate similarity transformation. Bvp4c MATLAB solver technique is implemented on resulting system of first order ODES for numerical solutions. Fluid profiles are examined by some influential parameters. Quadratic convection and mixed convection parameter produce augmentation in skin friction coefficient in both scenarios such as presence and absence of Thompson and Troian slip conditions. Rate of heat transport increases for thermal radiation, Quadratic convection and mixed convection parameters in both scenarios with nanoparticles volume friction ranging 2%–4%. Magnitude of skin friction coefficient tends to be increasing for greater values of Weissenberg number for both cases of with or without Thompson and Troian slip conditions. The results provide a valuable aid for understanding microscale fluid behaviour, relevant for applications in microfluidics and nanotechnology.
