Virtual Assembly of Engine Fans to Ensure Dynamic Stability

Analysis indicates the shortcomings of existing approaches to ensuring the dynamic stability of fans in aircraft engines, taking account of their icing during operation. In computer modeling, virtual assembly of a fan is employed in developing a new technological process that would ensure high dynamic stability. Numerical experiments confirm that virtual assembly of the fan is an effective method.

Abstract

Analysis indicates the shortcomings of existing approaches to ensuring the dynamic stability of fans in aircraft engines, taking account of their icing during operation. In computer modeling, virtual assembly of a fan is employed in developing a new technological process that would ensure high dynamic stability. Numerical experiments confirm that virtual assembly of the fan is an effective method.
