IOT BASED IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Agriculture plays a vital role in the economies of numerous nations.Nonetheless, irrigation methods are often inefficient regarding water management and control. To address these challenges, this project proposes an IoTbased smart irrigation system. This system comprises a network of sensors and actuators that gather data on soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and climatic conditions. This information is sent to a central control unit, which utilizes algorithms to determine the optimal timing and quantity of water for irrigation. The system is designed to be energy-efficient and economical, relying on a standard power source for operation. The advantages of this system over conventional irrigation practices are considerable. It minimizes water wastage and promotes water conservation, leading to better crop yields and lower costs.Additionally, the system is straightforward to install, use, and maintain, with the ability to be tailored to meet the needs of specific crops and soil types.Furthermore, it is scalable, allowing for expansion to larger areas or multiple fields. In summary, the proposed IoT-based smart irrigation system represents a significant enhancement over traditional methods, offering a sustainable and effective solution for farming. Its scalability, efficiency in energy use, and adaptability make it an attractive choice for farmers eager to embrace new technologies to refine their irrigation practices.First, it limits water waste and preserves water resources by only providing irrigation when necessary, which enhances crop yields and cuts costs.Second, the system is easy to install, operate, and maintain.
