IMPROVEMENT OF THE APPARATUS FOR THROWING GRANULAR MATERIALS
Harvesting, which also includes post-harvest processing, is of great importance in grain production. The components of seed processing technology include preliminary, primary, including secondary cleaning, as well as sorting and storage. The grain heap (moisture content up to 35%) coming from combines is transported to the grain threshing floor, processed using mobile equipment, which includes a granular material thrower. The material of the study was technical means for throwing grain, which are widely used in cleaning, sorting, including transportation, cooling, drying of grain and its processed products. A review of literature sources, patent search and their analysis were used as research methods. Generalization of the obtained material provided the basis for solving the technical problem of improving the device for throwing granular materials at a patentable level. The proposed improved device for throwing granular materials makes it possible to improve the quality of the transported processed material by reducing its damage and injury. Rubber coatings on the sickle-shaped part of the blade, which is recommended to be installed at an angle of 30 to 40 degrees to the initial radius of the drum in the opposite direction from the rotation of the drum, are provided to reduce the impact force of the grain particle on the blade at a constant value of the angular velocity. This forms a rational loading of the blades at the beginning, and then a shock-free unloading. The design feature of this technical device allows to improve the compactness and reliability of operation, as well as reduce metal and energy consumption.
