METHOD OF INCREASING THE TECHNICAL AND OPERATIONAL PROPERTIES OF AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY SAMPLES
The article analyzes the performance properties of diesel fuel that affect the processes of its mixture formation, ignition and combustion in the internal combustion engine (ICE). The main factors leading to intensive carbon formation, as well as methods and means for its cleaning, are identified. A rational design of a device for in-place cleaning of ICE parts from carbon is presented, which includes a steam generator, a mixer-doser, a nozzle with a jet; a dosing needle, a diffuser. The steam generator on the exhaust manifold of the engine has an input connected to a water tank through a water pipeline, the output is carried out using a steam tube. It is connected to a mixer-doser of steam, introduced into the intake manifold of the ICE through an insert containing a chamber for automatic dosing of steam depending on the load on the ICE. The nozzle with the jet in the lower part of the water tank is connected to the water pipeline, in the upper cover of the chamber there is a limiting screw and a spring, resting with one end on the cover, and with the other on the membrane of the chamber, rigidly connected through a rod with a metering needle. The metering needle in the form of a cylindrical rod with a conical end enters the conical hole in the body of the steam dispenser. In the body of the insert in the intake manifold, a diffuser is rigidly attached, into which the nozzle from the steam dispenser is brought out, turned with the outlet hole towards the engine. The results of the conducted experiments on testing the developed technical solutions on the KI-5540 test bench are presented, which showed that without significant changes in the design of the standard ICE power supply system by supplying 17% steam to the combustion chamber, it is possible to obtain the best technical result in restoring the engine's performance characteristics without taking the equipment out of operation, and also to extend its service life due to the complete cleaning of ICE parts from carbon deposits, which have an initial thickness of 1.72 mm.
