Productivity and quality of the new potato variety Smolyanochka when using growth-stimulating drugs

The research was carried out in 2020 – 2022 in order to study the effect of drugs MedAgro and Epin on the yield and quality of potato tubers of the new Smolyanochka variety in the Smolensk region in the fields of a separate subdivision of the Smolensk Research Institute of the Federal Research Center for Bast Fiber Crops. The soil of the experimental site is sod-podzolic, medium loamy, slightly acidic, with a low humus content, an increased content of mobile forms of phosphorus and medium potassium. The object of the study was a medium-early variety of potato Smolyanochka, bred by Smolensk breeders. The effect of growth-stimulating drugs was studied on an optimal mineral background (azofoska 16:16:16 at a dose of 600 kg/ha). The use of growth-stimulating drugs, both separately according to the years of research, and on average over three years, offset the negative impact of adverse weather conditions and contributed to a more complete use of nutrients from fertilizers. The combined use of MedAgro with Epin increased the yield of tubers to 22.5 t/ha, while the greatest effect was noted in the variant with a concentration of 0.8% copper-containing preparation. In the same variant, due to an increase in the proportion of medium and large fractions of potato tubers, the highest marketability was obtained (86%). The use of growth-stimulating drugs, both jointly and unilaterally, practically did not change the starch concentration in tubers, but increased the dry matter content in them to 20.4%.
