Development of ploughshares for tractors of drawbar category 5

An increase in the productivity of plowing units is achieved by increasing the speed and changing the width of the plow. The growth of the first parameter is limited by the permissible range of movement speed, and the increase in the width of the plow is limited by the traction properties of the tractor and the dimensions of the plow. Consequently, it is possible to increase productivity if the procedure of basic tillage is fundamentally improved due to new processes of interaction of the working bodies of tillage implements with the soil layer. The analysis of the obtained theoretical dependencies allows the K-701 tractor to operate with wide-cut plows relative to the PNL-8-40 plow. Ploughs of the brands PBS-(8+1)L, PBS-8U, PBS-8M, PBS-9, PBS-16-38L with a plow width 3.6–6.0 m allow the turning procedure of basic tillage to a depth of 0.15–0.3 m with a capacity of 2.3–3.8 ha/h and fuel consumption of 13–15 kg/ha, when meeting the established agrotechnical requirements. A description of the design features of general-purpose ploughshares for aggregation with tractors of drawbar category 5 is presented.
