Rhaponticum repens: prevalence, harmfulness, control measures (review)
Among the vast variety of weed flora, the Rhaponticum repens occupies one of the dominant positions due to its extremely high aggressiveness and harmfulness. It is shown that at present this plant is widely represented on all continents where agriculture is developed. It grows in both cultivated and uncultivated lands. It causes significant damage to crops of almost all agricultural crops, reduces yields, and depletes the soil. In addition, it is a poisonous plant that poses a threat to human and animal health. Therefore, the fight against Rhaponticum repens is one of the priority tasks of agriculture. In the historical aspect, the formation and development of techniques and methods of its suppression, including economic, agrotechnical and chemical measures, are considered.
