Distribution and semiotics of follicular cysts ovaries in cows

Among dysfunctional ovarian disorders, follicular cysts are quite widespread. In 13.73% of cows, cysts of follicular origin and in 1.2% of cases of luteal origin were marked. Transrectal studies found out that follicular cysts were located mainly on the right ovary (63.15%). Of the 57 registered follicular ovarian cysts, 78.95% were single and 21,05% were multiple (multicameral). The peak of the appearance of follicular cysts was noted in July -August: 18.3 and 11.4 %, respectively. Ovarian cysts were recorded significantly less frequently in January (5.7%), November (6.2%) and December (6.3%). A clear pattern has been established between an increase in milk production and an increase in the occurrence of follicular ovarian cysts in cows.
